How to Measure a Deck Frame
To get the most accurate estimate, measure the full deck frame length and width before entering your dimensions into the calculator.
- Measure the full length of the deck frame from one end to the other
- Measure the full width perpendicular to the direction the deck boards will run
- Divide angled, cut-up, or multi-level decks into smaller rectangular sections
- Double-check all measurements before submitting
The calculator includes a standard 10% waste allowance for straight deck layouts. More complex layouts may require additional material.
